Road to Ruin (SPEAK)

With your first white lie, then you've just begun

On the road to ruin, who knows what you'll become?

Drop your burdens down on the track

For some honest soul to bear on his back

And oh. it's a long way down.

You sell out one friend, then comes two,

On the road to ruin, who knows what you will do?

And you tell yourself, every time you betray,

You'll turn around and make it up someday

And oh. it's a long way down.

You miss one chance, then you miss three,

On the road to ruin, who could you be?

It's a busy life, and it only gets worse,

When you can't put a face on the ones that you hurt

And oh.

You make one deal, then you make four,

But the road to ruin only wants more,

There's always someone who'll do what you do

Someone younger, and hungrier, too

And oh.

You break one vow, then you break them all,

And the road to ruin won't care where you fall,

Cause, when you break, you break for good,

With thousands running by the place where you stood

And oh. it's a long way down.
